Dragon Forum is an annual international documentary film workshop in the middle of Europe. Famous experts help to prepare films for co-production, giving practical advice on development and production of a film for international audiences. The final pitching takes place during the Krakow Film Fesstival every year in the first week of June.
The aim of Dragon Forum is to help creators of auteur documentary films who are involved in producing honest documentary cinema discovering the true reality. The Dragon Forum works in the spirit of a particular ‘documentary school’ determined by its polish and international lecturers like: Jacek Bławut, Marcel Łoziński, Katarzyna Maciejko-Kowalczyk, Dorota Paciarelli, Leena Passanen, Marijke Rawie, Dorota Roszkowska, Rada Sesic, Stefano Tealdi, Vita Żelakeviciute.
Dragon Forum

Target Group
Dragon Forum is addressed to filmmakers who want to prepare and develop their projects for international documentary film co-production.
Dragon Forum supports and develops documentary film projects touching the important issues of the contemporary world, problems that wouldn’t let us stay indifferent. Projects are appreciated that bravely develop the topic and the form.
Conditions
There is no age limit and film-oriented education is not required.
Each project can be represented by maximum 3 persons (scriptwriter, director, producer).
The official languages of the workshop is English.
Participation fee
Costs covered by Dragon Forum
The training at the workshop for those whose projects have qualified for Dragon Forum 2009 is free of charge (see regulations on: www.dragonforum.pl) .
Costs for the participants
The participants will by themselves cover their travel expenses and accommodation costs during their stay at the Dragon Forum. The fee for the participation in the pitching is €100.00, observers pay € 75.00.
Grants
There are grants available.
Repayment
In the case of the realisation of the film the participant will repay to the Organiser the costs of the training in the amount according to the terms of the Agreement with the participant and depending on the film budget. The estimated price of the whole Dragon Forum 2009 equals € 1.000 euro. The organiser will use these funds for the covering of the Dragon Forum costs.
