MMM Film GmbH

Is an independent production company, founded in 1989 and owned by the Producer Ulrike Zimmermann. The GmbH was founded in 2000.

We are producing and co-producing International Arthouse features and documentaries for the cinema. Our aim is the production of challenging and unique films of artistic value. Recent successful films are VERFOLGT (HOUNDED), winner of the Golden Leopard "Competition Filmmakers Of The Present" Locarno 2006, the multiple awarded feature FREMDE HAUT (UNVEILED) and THE PROBLEM IS MY WIFE by Calle Overweg (3Sat award 2003)

In 2006 we founded MMM Verleih for theatrical distribution and DVD sales. Our partners for booking and billing are Reinhard Barnsteiner of 24Bilder and Gisela Meuser Filmpresse for PR. The distribution company develops very well. The cinema release of VERFOLGT and DER WEISSE MIT DEM SCHWARZBROT– was very successful. Since we entered in a deal with ALIVE AG for DVD sales and DVD distribution in German language territories our DVD sales increased noticeably.

Thanks to our well-established presence in different regions of Germany and Argentina (in addition to our main office in Hamburg we run branch offices in Berlin, Stuttgart and Buenos Aires) we are in a position to act as a service-production company and co-financier for international co-productions.

We have a regular presence at the International film events and markets in Rotterdam, Berlin, Cannes and also take part in international co-production meetings like CoProduction Market at Berlinale, BAL at BAFICI in Buenos Aires and open doors in Locarno. The internationally orientated training seminars (1999 Vertical Strategies, 2001 EAVE, 2003 MFI) gave us valuable impulses.
