Vincent Fertey, 29, is a French journalist. Low Income is his first documentary film.

He graduated in social and political sciences and started journalism working for Le Figaro in Paris until 2008. Then he moved to Mauritania where he worked for the Reuters news agency as a TV reporter. He covered the military coup of 2008, the presidential election and the raising of terrorist threats led by Al Qaida in the country.

In January 2010 he moved to San Francisco where he continued to collaborate with different TV channels. Attracted by documentary he directed and shot his first documentary film "Low Income", a documentary film about people left aside the american dream in San Francisco. This project was selected in various festivals in France and abroad.

Vincent Fertey lives in Tangier, Morocco. He made documentary films series for an international moroccan TV channel and now teaches journalism in Tangier and abroad.
