It was the most important night in Hollywood. These are the winners:
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences awarded the documentary feature "The Cove" by director Louie Psihoyos and the documentary short "Music by Prudence" by director Roger Ross Williams during a 4 hour long award show hosted by Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin last night.
Nominees in the documentary film categories also included "Rabbit a la Berlin", a film developed by Bartek Konopka, Piotr Rosolowski and Anna Wydra at the Documentary Campus Masterschool.
The Oscars were held for the 82nd time in Los Angeles. Academy Awards went to productions in more than 20 categories. Big winner of the ceremony was "The Hurt Locker" directed by Kathryn Bigelow. Out of nine nominations her film was honoured six times including the awards for Best Motion Picture of the Year and Best Achievement in Directing.
