The Movie Bus, a South West Screen DFAF funded project, is looking for independent filmmakers' work to screen aboard the Vintage Mobile Cinema as they tour different events across the English region of North Devon.
The Vintage Mobile Cinema will be touring a series of festivals, screening a wide selection of material, and they are pleased to be able to help put together the cinema programming for the upcoming Aeon Festival on 26-30 August 2010. This is an opportunity for independent film-makers to get their work out there and seen in these unique surroundings.

From the project's website:
"The Movie Bus is looking for people to be a part of the project; musicians to contribute to the soundtrack, volunteers to help run screenings, people with old film hidden in their attic, or contemporary film-makers who want to showcase their work – this is your chance!

Whether you just want to see the Movie Bus come to your town, village or school, or whether you want to be a part of the project on a larger scale, we want to hear from you. We are always looking for new ideas."

The aim of the Movie Bus Project is to bring a cultural and historical experience to North Devon, including the most rural communities in this area.
The bus is the only surviving one of a fleet of seven that were built by the Government to showcase modern British production techniques. Today, it has been carefully restored to its former glory.
