Until 1st October 2010 you can register online for the 53rd edition of DOK Leipzig. The International Leipzig Festival for Documentary and Animated Film - DOK Leipzig – from 18 to 24 October 2010 - is the largest German and one of the leading international festivals for artistic documentary and animated films. The accreditation fee for industry is 60 Euro and 50 EUR for press.

Discover the best new documentary and animated films from all over the world. Cash prizes totalling 71,000 euros will be awarded in the various competition categories. Special highlights for 2010 include a special programme of films from the Caucasus, a selection of films on the subject of money (Money Matters), a retrospective from the German Federal Film Archive on the military in German society (Regime and Regiment), a series dedicated to the animated film-maker from New York Signe Baumane and an homage to Klaus Wildenhahn.

In addition to its comprehensive schedule of films, DOK Leipzig offers international industry professionals an exciting programme of events that include master classes and DOK podium discussions on such subjects as cross media, sales, marketing, film criticism and the future of film subsidies and grants in Germany. The DOK festival’s offerings for industry professionals include the digital DOK market, the international DOK Leipzig co-production encounter, the Leipzig screening of new German documentary films, DOK Summits and the Leipzig Forum for Innovative Television, which focuses on strategies for international broadcast stations in the age of cross media. On 23 and 24 October the final presentation of the Documentary Campus Master School by the Documentary Campus organisation will take place under the auspices of the festival.
